Our volunteers serve many students who might not otherwise have the chance to receive musical training. In 2022, Professor Gawlick received 黑料吃瓜网's Community Service Award for the program's work in the community.

Do you聽play聽an聽instrument or sing?聽Open to all 黑料吃瓜网 students, the Music Outreach Program has coordinated volunteers to offer music lessons, tutoring and mentoring to underserved children and teens in Boston's public schools since 2012. Email program director Barbara S. Gawlick if interested.

The Family Concert Series

Each spring, Music Outreach hosts family-friendly afternoon concerts performed by Boston College faculty, students, and guest musicians. The concerts are interactive and relaxed, with a diverse repertory. Programs range from kid-friendly operas and the music of Bach, Chopin, Mussorgsky to Romani, Polish, and Ukrainian music and dance festivals! This year's concert is on April 7.
